Havelock Island

Havelock island This island is considered as one of the best island tourist destination in andaman and nicobar islands. its a very  beautiful island which provides idyllic resort in the lap of virgin beach and unpolluted environment, and a guesthouse of tourism department dolphin resort is also available for the tourists. The easiest accessible island from the capital is the Havelock . Small boats leave the Phoenix Bay Harbor daily to Havelock; one can be escorted by a school of dolphins or spot giant sea tortoise and flying fish. It is situated just 54 kms from port Blair. Havelock Island has crystal clear blue water and white sandy beaches.

Prime Attractions of Havelock Island

Elephant beach is one of the unique beaches located in Havelock Island. The coral in this beach is simply the best on the island, making it a magnificent spot to enjoy snorkeling.

It is easily accessible by walking from Beach no 7, also known as Radha Nagar Beach or by fishing boat from the eastern side of the island. Many resorts here also provide snorkeling and diving trips.

Kalapathar Beach

Lying on one corner of Havelock Island, Kalapathar Beach is a worth visiting beach on the Island. This serene beach gets its name from the surrounding village, known as Kalapathar village and the black rocks embellishing the coastline. Unexplored and untouched, the beach is a great place to relax. An elephant training camp is located nearby and is sometimes open for visitors.

Radhanagar Beach

Radha Nagar Beach, located around 3 km from Havelock Island is one of the most popular attractions of the Island and is reachable through roadway. Earned “Best Beach in Asia” in 2004, this beach is also referred to as Beach no. 7. The beach is extremely gorgeous with its brilliant, pristine and blue water. Walking on the pristine sands along the shore, one can hear the sound of waves gently splashing against the beach.

It is a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Besides, tourists can indulge swimming and snorkeling to experience the wonderful world of underwater.

Vijay Nagar Beach

Situated around 4.5 km from Havelock Island is the beautiful Vijay Nagar beach. It is an ideal place where one can relax and enjoy a long walk along the sea shore. It’s nice and calm water makes it suitable to enjoy swimming
